Peterson on SNR
Peterson on Sporting News Radio
Linebacker Julian Peterson was on Sporting News Radio this am with James Brown here is what he had to say:
Asked about holdout: Says he informed the organization and teammates, and they all know that I have to take care of myself first.
Asked if he was optomistic about getting a deal done? Not really, just wanting to get it done. Want my just due.
Asked what kind of salary he is looking for. One like Urlacher or Ray Lewis. Said somewhere in the middle. Possibly higher because he does more than most linebackers. (Plays numerous positions)
Asked if concerned by representation by Postons? No not offended at all. Glad to have them as my agents. Look out for player not the team. Also said no one gets upset when a Steinberg player sits out.
Asked if not successful in getting a deal done, will you holdout? Said depends on how long they try and work it out. Leave it up to my agents
Asked if conerned about negative reaction from fans? No concern, the fans understand.
And finished saying Dorsey can get the job done.
