Downey Injury Settlement
Free Agent Lineman Kiawatha Downey and the 49ers have reached an injury settlement. Downey signed as a UDFA out of University of Indiana-Pennsylvania was expected to compete for a backup role at RG. But a knee injury had sidelined him 4-6 weeks. Coach Erickson said he would benefit from playing in NFL Europe and the 49ers will keep an eye on him. Possibly signing to practice squad.
