Smith Makes Nolan Pause

Coach Mike Nolan will take another week to think about the whole quarterback thing. After the Raider game he said that Alex Smith will get the start for the Bronco game, but he backed off his earlier statement that the starter would be in place after that game.
"I haven't changed my thoughts. We'll maintain the reps the way we've done it. We might take a week longer, as far as making a decision. I'll leave that open for now."
