Niners fall to Titans 33-22

The Tennessee Titans got a glimpse of what they can do when they don't hurt themselves with penalties and turnovers.

Steve McNair threw all three of his touchdowns in a mistake-free third quarter, and the Titans downed the San Francisco 49ers 33-22 on Sunday and snapped a five-game skid with their first victory since Oct. 16.

McNair said the third quarter had been their most disappointing all season. Before Sunday, the Titans had combined for only 45 points in that period this season.

'The guys came out with a lot of enthusiasm in the third quarter,' McNair said. 'It was a big quarter. I think the guys came to the point we wanted to go ahead and put those guys away once we had the chance instead of making mistakes and letting guys back in the ball game.'
