Gore: The Lone Brightspot

Rookie running back Frank Gore posed for a picture on the field after Sunday's game with former University of Miami teammate Clinton Portis, currently of the Washington Redskins.

Portis observed that Gore, who scored on a 72-yard touchdown run in the final three minutes, looked a lot like the highly recruited prep star of 2001. Gore set a Dade County record in 2000 as a Miami-area high school senior, rushing for 2,953 yards and 34 touchdowns.
