Not in Much of a Rush

Jeremy Newberry talked about the 49ers' running game with disdain.

'One-point-six, 1.7 (yards per carry), that's just pitiful,' the Pro Bowl center said. The woeful rushing attack -- 34 yards on 21 carries -- got lost in the 49ers' 28-25 upset of the Rams on Sunday.

'I don't think we were in tune very much with the backs,' Newberry said. "Sometimes the holes would be there, and they were hitting the line too soon; a lot of times there wouldn't be holes.'
