Mike Mixing Up the Mikes
A day after the Niners loss to the Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike Nolan has shaken up the defensive secondary. Nolan has moved safety Mike Rumph back to his old cornerback position and moved nickel corner Mike Adams to safety.
The moves place both players back at their natural positions. Adams spent his college career at Delaware playing safety while Rumph worked at corner for his first three NFL seasons and during his college career at Miami.
'Rumph will compete at both corner positions and work in the slot where Mike Adams has been', said Nolan. 'I want to get him back there and see what he can do. Since I've been here, he has not been at corner at all, so we are going to move him out there and get him out of safety and put Mike Adams back at safety.'
