Winborn on Trade Block

In a surprising move the Niners have started entertaining trades for LB Jamie Winborn. Word is that Winborn has cleared out his locker and left the facility.
'He's been relegated to a backup role for us,' said head coach Mike Nolan. 'Jamie sees himself as a starter, and out of respect to that position, I'm entertaining the possibilities of a trade.

And in other news SF49ers.com reports an MRI on San Francisco 49ers CB Mike Rumph's (foot) injured foot revealed Rumph had in fact torn his plantar fascia, the same injury that ended TE Eric Johnson's season. Rumph is expected to go on Injured Reserve Thursday, Sept. 29, the second year in a row his season has ended due to injury.
