Simon a Niner?

Reports yesterday out of the Trenton Times mentioned that the Niners were interested in aquiring recently released DT Corey Simon of the Eagles. More reports from around the NFL today have confirmed yesterdays rumblings, ESPN's John Clayton and the Press Democrats Matt Maiocco both have mentioned the Niners are showing interest in DT Corey Simon. Not sure how possibly the acquisition could be considering the Niners may not have enough money, or be the right situation for the free agent. Simon's agent today in the Baltimore Sun had this to say about the ten teams he says are showing interest.
'He is just looking to put himself in the best situation,' Barnes said. 'It's going to come down to money and the best situation.'

As of today the Niners are $3 million under the cap. Likelihood of Simon signing with the Niners: Low. But stranger things have happened.
