Camp Ends on Positive Note
Coach Mike Nolan is sounding more and more like a convert.
Nolan, who initially said he opposed holding training camp at the team's in-season practice facility, said Wednesday he found a lot of positives staying in the same place year-round.
The somewhat nebulous title of training camp officially ended Wednesday for the 49ers with a two-hour practice on the fields of the Marie P. DeBartolo Centre. The 49ers will no longer be in 'training-camp mode' as they intensify preparations for the season opener Sept. 11 against the St. Louis Rams.
Niner Notes:

Bajema, a seventh-round selection out of Oklahoma State, had one of the 49ers' only first-quarter highlights Saturday in Denver when he caught a short pass from Alex Smith, broke a tackle and rumbled downfield for 16 yards.
