Norv in Ninerland?

Former Raiders coach Norv Turner is among possible candidates for the 49ers' vacant offensive coordinator job, Coach Mike Nolan said Thursday.

The opening was created when Mike McCarthy was named the Green Bay Packers' head coach.

Nolan said in a conference call that he spoke with Turner last week, shortly after he was fired by the Raiders, but had not yet discussed the 49ers' job opening with him.
'But I would consider Norv, sure,' said Nolan, who was Turner's defensive coordinator in 1997-99 with Washington.

In deciding on a replacement for McCarthy, Nolan said experience as an offensive coordinator and a track record of success would be prominent considerations, along with an ability to fit in and communicate easily with the players and staff already in place.
